Questions, answered

General

What types of projects does Andy specialise in?

Andy specialises in both short-form and long-form edits, including TV shows, strategy-led corporate communications, customer advocacy stories, brand campaigns, documentary content, event coverage and large-scale learning initiatives for enterprise, government and global brands.

Can Andy work remotely, or on-site?

Both. Andy is fully equipped for remote collaboration and on-site editing.

For remote projects, Andy uses Frame.io, cloud storage and video chat, so clients, directors and agency teams can upload assets, review cuts, leave time-stamped feedback and join live editing sessions from anywhere.

Can Andy handle high-volume or ongoing content retainers?

Yes. Andy works on both project-by-project engagements and ongoing retainers for organisations with recurring video needs, such as training suites or regular customer advocacy pipelines.

Process

How are revisions and client feedback handled?

Reviews run through Frame.io, so stakeholders can leave frame-accurate, time-stamped comments and annotations. Andy typically sets up separate review streams for internal and client-facing feedback.

Standard projects include two to three rounds of revisions before picture lock.

Editing

What are typical turnaround times for an offline edit?

Turnaround depends on project scope, footage volume and review cycles.

Typically, a first assembly for a short-form corporate story or campaign cut takes two to five business days from receiving media.

What software and workflows are supported?

Andy works in industry-standard platforms including Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Projects can be set up with native raw files or proxy workflows tailored to your pipeline, allowing seamless handoffs to colourists, sound designers and finishing suites.

What does Andy need to get started on an offline edit?

To begin an offline edit, Andy typically needs:

  • Raw footage or media files and camera logs, or pre-created proxies
  • A script, storyboard or creative brief
  • Director notes or preferred take logs
  • Audio tracks such as voiceover, scratch tracks or temp music
  • Brand guidelines or reference videos, if applicable
What happens after picture lock?

Once the edit structure, timing and narrative are locked and approved by all stakeholders, Andy prepares clean handoff packages (such as AAF, XML or EDL files with reference cuts) to transfer the project to your online editor, colourist and audio engineer.
